IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  3. Students should come to school in sports uniform on Mondays and Thursdays and full school uniform on the other days. All uniforms should be labelled clearly.

FOUNDATION

Reading and Writing

Foundation students have been focusing on their letter and phonic knowledge. Students have been practising a letter a week, by participating in daily singing and a range of activities. They have been learning the letter names and sounds for letters ’a’, ’t’, ’c’, and ‘i’. Children are also practising writing these letters.

Mathematics

In Numeracy we have been focusing on numbers to 10. Our aim is to get the students to understand how to order, write and count forwards and backwards to 10. Children will continue to practise efficient counting strategies and subitising small quantities through games.

Developmental Play

Foundation students have been participating in Developmental Learning. The activities students undertake are implemented to help develop their imagination, fine motor skills and how they interact with others.

Reminders

*Please send homework books to school on Friday.

*Take Home Books: Please remember to read with your child each night and to remind them to swap their books in the morning at school.
